Jury statement

"The jury estimates the project to be a sensitive design for a centre for mental health. Harmonious and with a very good sense of the interplay between inside and outside, open and closed, natural and built, the building is integrated into the special urban location on a watercourse. The center was deliberately planned as an open house to counteract the stigmatisation of mental illness. The large, folded roof nevertheless creates a protective atmosphere for this therapeutic space. The room programme is sensibly and neatly accommodated in this loose building-nature landscape. This design is also convincing in terms of presentation and graphic visualisation."
