Lars Steffensen, architect MAA, is a partner architect at Tegnestuen Kontekst, Copenhagen. He has been a partner and member of the management team at Henning Larsen Architects since 2002. In 2000, he became responsible for the company’s healthcare and research-related projects. Lars has many years of experience with large hospital and research projects throughout Scandinavia, as well as with the complexity of these types of buildings—from preliminary analyses through to completed projects. He has a particular ability to combine often complex technical solutions with a strong focus on architectural design and detailing, materials, and daylight.

Lars’ professional experience, combined with his ability to seek out new knowledge and apply it in an architectural context, has made him a sought-after lecturer and professional examiner. He has been both lecturer and external examiner at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture, for a number of years, and was a guest professor at the Technical University of Berlin from 2018 to 2023.
