The Alliance on Climate Change and Health (KLUG)
The Alliance on Climate Change and Health (KLUG) was founded in October 2017 as a network of individuals, organizations and associations from across the health sector. Its primary goal is to promote action to mitigate and adapt to the far-reaching health impacts of the climate crisis. Lecturers from academia across all disciplines are offered in the Planetary Health Academy, including transformative action. Health professionals are encouraged to become actors in the necessary transformation of society as a whole. Stakeholders network across sectors and hierarchies throughout society and become active in their communities, especially at the community and local levels. KLUG is supported by many medical societies, the German Medical Association, the German Nursing Association as well as research institutes and NGOs and is financed by donations.
