Review

Four outstanding international master theses have been honoured with the
Architecture for Health Student Award and the Charité Special Prize
February 2023

In January, the expert jury met on the campus of Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin to select the winners of this year's Architecture for Health Student Award. International students were invited to submit their final theses with a special focus on building for health in the fields of architecture, urban planning and landscape planning.

Eighteen works had been submitted. The spectrum was very diverse and ranged from housing to healthcare and rehabilitation environments. Among other topics, the students dealt with stress reduction for hospital staff, building in post-pandemic times, conversion of existing buildings and modular concepts.

The jury praised the international participation of the authors. Entries had been submitted not only from Europe, but also from India, Russia and China. The jury expressed their conviction that the award can thus make a contribution to international cohesion and support for international students.
