Architecture for Health Student Award 2026 Ceremony

The Architecture for Health Student Award recognised outstanding master’s theses exploring the intersection of architecture, urban design, and health.
Awarded by the Hans and Christine-Nickl Stiftung, it highlighted innovative projects responding to today’s pressing challenges — from sustainable healthcare design and resilient cities to mental well-being and inclusive environments. In collaboration with Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, a special prize honoured exceptional work in future-oriented hospital design.
The award ceremony took place on the evening prior to the symposium at the ZK/U – Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik in Berlin, an award-winning venue that recently received the DAM Prize 2026 for Architecture in Germany. The distinctive setting of the converted industrial building provided an inspiring backdrop for the presentation of this year’s prizes.
Guests, participants, and invited contributors gathered for an evening dedicated to celebrating emerging talent in the field of Architecture for Health. In an informal yet focused atmosphere, the winning projects were presented and honoured.
