The winners of the Architecture for Health Student Award 2025

We are excited to unveil the winners of the Architecture for Health Student Award 2025 and the Charité Special Prize!


The Award Ceremony took place during our ENAH symposium at the context of the Biennale Architecture opening in Venice last weekend – an unforgettable occasion that celebrated the future of health-focused architecture!


These five visionary projects are paving the way for the future of healthcare architecture, tackling key global health challenges with creativity and innovation.


# 1. PRIZE

“Integrated Center for Health and Longevity”
Author: Sharon Sarfati (University of Applied Arts Vienna, Austria)
A futuristic, flexible healthcare center that adapts to changing needs, surrounded by lush green spaces.


# 2. PRIZE

“Your skin is the skin of the world – Architecture that supports participatory arts activities for people with dementia”
Author: Hugo Haoran Hu (Eindhoven University of Technology, Netherlands)
A compassionate design for dementia care, merging traditional architecture with modern elements in a rural setting.


# 3. PRIZE

“Topophilic Waters” – Mental Health Center
Author: Carla Alkhouri (University of Sydney, Australia)
A harmonious design that blends indoor and outdoor spaces, fostering an open and welcoming environment for mental health care.

“Geburt für Alle – Ein Haus für die Geburt in Wien Ottakring
Author: Lisa Baier (TU Wien, Austria)
A thoughtful birth center design, carefully balancing openness to the city and a private, nurturing environment for mothers.


# CHARITÉ PRIZE

“Universal Rescue Module” (Charité Special Prize)
Author: Aidar Aminov (Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, Germany)
A flexible, foldable medical module designed for quick deployment in disaster zones, providing essential healthcare in times of crisis.
