Institut für Konstruktives Entwerfen, Industrie- und Gesundheitsbau, as an academic partner!

On Friday, 6 November 2026, the international symposium “SPACE FOR HEALTH” will take place at Technische Universität Braunschweig for the second time, following its successful launch in 2023.

The symposium focuses on the complex interplay between architecture, people, medicine
and hygiene in patient care. Its aim is to foster intensive interdisciplinary exchange between academia, politics, industry and practice.

As part of a cross-disciplinary dialogue with experts from the fields of architecture, medicine and healthcare, the symposium will present innovative and sustainable healthcare buildings, forward-looking approaches to planning and equipment, as well as the latest developments in research,
technology and the healthcare sector.

The symposium thus provides a platform for interdisciplinary exchange and networking among the diverse stakeholders involved in healthcare design and construction.

A further focus of the symposium is the publication of the Healthcare Infrastructure
on the knowledge platform PlanGesund.info.
