Announcement: Change in the Management of ENAH – European Network Architecture for Health
The ENAH team is excited to announce a change in management, effective October 1st 2025.
Dr. Mena Theißen-Helling has taken on leadership alongside Hilâl Kuşcu. Both bring extensive experience in research, practice and organisational development, and will play a central role in shaping ENAH’s strategic direction.
Under their leadership, ENAH will continue to foster collaboration, promote evidence-based approaches, and advance innovative solutions in healthcare architecture across Europe.
Dr. Mena Theißen-Helling is a trained architect with extensive experience in research, teaching and practice. Her expertise lies in evidence-based design for hospitals and care facilities, as well as in the scientific evaluation of built healthcare environments.
As Managing Director, Mena is responsible for strategically positioning ENAH as a thought leader in health-oriented architecture across Europe. With her strong academic background, she places great emphasis on establishing and maintaining collaborations with research institutions, industry partners and policy stakeholders. She also represents ENAH nationally and internationally, leads fundraising activities, and develops long-term growth strategies.
Hilâl Kuşcu is an architectural designer and strategist with an interdisciplinary background spanning architecture, business development and urban research. As Co-Managing Director, she ensures that ENAH’s strategic vision is translated into effective and impactful operational processes.
Hilâl studied at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London, where she researched healthcare networks in urban planning. With her background in architectural practice and strategic consultancy, she bridges conceptual thinking with practical implementation. Acting as a link between strategy and execution, she ensures that ENAH continues to operate as a dynamic and future-oriented network. As an author for several architecture journals, she shares insights into the relationships between space, society and the psyche.
Together, both leaders will play a key role in strengthening ENAH’s position as Europe’s leading platform for health-oriented architecture and in shaping its path towards the future.
