Meet our interdisciplinary panel!

We are excited to present the impressive lineup of speaker for our upcoming event in Venice! Each of them brings a unique perspective to the intersection of health, architecture and innovation.


Dr. Nirit Pilosof, architect and researcher at Tel Aviv University, University of Cambridge, and Sheba Medical Center, is focusing on healthcare transformation through architecture, digital innovation, and evidence-based design. We are happy to welcome her as moderator of the panel!

Tom Messiaen is active as a key player in shaping the future of healthcare innovation. With his background as managing partner at Unmatched and Telecom-IT Group, his talk will focus on integrating and developing smart building solutions in healthcare.

Prof. Dr. med. Dr. h.c.mult. Wolfgang Holzgreve, former Medical Director and CEO of the University Bonn Medical Center, and currently Chairman of the Board of the University of Leipzig brings a wealth of medical and research leadership experience to the panel. He will reflect on requirements for supportive healthcare environments.

Birgitte Østergård Sørensen, business leader for Healthcare Robotics & Hospital Automation at the Danish Technological Institute (DTI), will reflect on the integration of robotics and automation in care environments.

Mark Carroll, Partner and Director at Renzo Piano Building Workshop (RPBW) Genova, designs major international cultural and healthcare projects with a focus on user experience. Together with Raffaella Parodi, Associate Architect at Renzo Piano Building Workshop (RPBW), their talk will focus on future-proof hospital projects in Europe with an emphasis on interdisciplinary design coordination and sustainable solutions.
